Year 2 have absolutely loved Geography week and enjoyed exploring the physical features in our world. They have been able to identify and label some physical features on a picture and in the outside area they’ve created some of them using the lego and sand. The children enjoyed using maps to look at the physical features found in our own locality and then compare it to the seaside. In particular, they enjoyed sketching maps of the UK and world showing great focus and determination. They sorted animals according to where they live and looked at artists inspired by the landscape. In English they have begun to research Steve Backshall ready to write a biography about him next week
