Year 3 – Geography Week

Class 3 have really enjoyed studying local maps this week. We have explored the 8 points of a compass rose by directing our friends outside whilst using a compass and we have been able to plan a simple routes- writing instructions for our ‘imaginary zoo keepers’.

Also we have learnt to use OS map symbols, 4 figure grid references and scale to find locations and begin to measure distances on maps.
