Sutton Seedlings Pre-School

Sutton Seedlings Pre-school is located on the outskirts of Hereford in the village of Sutton St. Nicholas. Set in a rural location we benefit from a large outdoor space, full of stimulating activities including our very own forest school and pond dipping areas. It is run by a dedicated staff team as part of Sutton Primary Academy. Our staff share a wealth of experience who provide a rich and varied curriculum to nurture and support the children’s needs.

We aim to raise the aspirations of every child and give them the confidence to fulfil their potential through positive & meaningful learning experiences.

We offer a variety of sessions each day and accept government funded children from 2-5 years. Non-funded hours are charged at £16.50 per morning or £33 per whole day.

Opening Hours & Contact

Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm

Nurture from the Very Start

Each child will be allocated their very own key worker, this will help them to settle and form positive relationships within the setting.

We work in partnership with parents, follow the children’s interests and provide stimulating learning experiences.

Situated in our own room with outside play area, we have access to all the of the school facilities such as the teaching kitchen and the large, secure playing fields which include the forest school, pond area and adventure playground.

Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend as we have nappy changing facilities available. Our fully qualified staff play alongside the children and encourage them to make choices and extend their learning through child-led play.

Extended Hours

There are limited spaces available to preschool children aged 3 and over at Breakfast Club (8.00 – 8.45am) and Afterschool Club (3.05 – 5pm). These sessions are run in the school hall and managed by Kids Club (HMFA Enterprises).

Each session needs to be booked in advance to ensure ratios.  Parents need to be aware that extended school is not pre-school based as there will be a proportion of older children attending from the Primary school.
