To become a school councillor you have to be properly elected. Â First you have to speak in front of your class then if you get enough votes you have to speak in front of the whole school. Â The school then votes for 1 person in each year group. Â These are then the school council representatives for the year. Â This year we had some fantastic speeches and it was a close run vote. Â So far this year the school council has set up a ‘school council box’ where children can post their ideas and have organised for the charity open door to come in and talk to the children and parents about being homeless.
