Children’s Mental Health Week
This week is Children’s Mental Health Week and we have a planned a week of fun activities to promote positive mental health. The theme running through the week is ‘Let’s Connect’ and our activities are designed to encourage our children (and adults) to consider how we can make meaningful connections that support our mental health.
Reception – Amazing Africa 🇿🇦🐘🛖
Reception Class are really excited about this term’s topic, ‘Amazing Africa’. We have started learning the story ‘We’re going on a Lion Hunt’ and the children are enjoying re-telling the story using puppets and story scene they made.
Reception being creative 🎨🖌
Reception Class have been getting creative by reproducing jungle animal patterns using different media. Can you guess what the animals are?
Remembrance Day
Throughout the week, the children have been reflecting about remembrance and why it is so important. Reception – The Three Bears
Reception Class have been having lots of fun making homes and furniture for the three bears and tasting their yummy porridge! Not surprisingly, chocolate was the children’s favourite topping.
