Thank you for your patience.
We have been working very hard to try and get the school open and running but power cuts, floods in the building and the icy weather have proved to be a huge challenge!
The car park is currently unusable and despite our best efforts, we have not been able to clear it – we are still trying.
I have taken the decision to open the school tomorrow (Wednesday) but you will need to drop your child/children off at the car park entrance (on the main road). Staff will be there to meet the children and take them safely into school from 9:30 -10:30. There will be NO breakfast or after school club running to allow staff and pupils to arrive and go home safely in daylight.
Please, if you live in the village, walk tomorrow to ease the congestion outside of the school.
We are also asking that if the big thaw doesn’t happen tonight that volunteers come with shovels to help us clear at least the turning circle before school starts so that the coaches for the panto can come in at lunch time.
I am sure that if we all work as a team and with patience and understanding that we can keep our school open and our children safely within.
Many thanks in anticipation of your support.
